Engineering Test Technician to join our dedicated and talented team. Engineering Test Technicians at TSP typically have the following job responsibilities:- Performing the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
- Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
- Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
- May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
- As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
- May assist in the development or improvement of test program hardware and/or software
- Requires ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments
- Perform QA functions associated with product development (reliability) labs
- Set up and update jobs in the reliability database system
- Responsible for shipping and receiving the jobs from other company sites and coordinating the logistics
- Support other lab operations - cross training, as needed, to enhance lab's flexible capacity
- Support requests for job status and unit retrieval for completed job(s)
- Support loading and unloading of the burn-in boards used for HTOL stress
- Associate's degree in electronics, related technical discipline, or equivalent military electronics training is desired
- 2+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment technician experience (school or job related) preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of basic electronics, basic technical science, and applied electrical
- Fundamental knowledge of basic mechanics and mechatronics
- 2 - 5 years of related experience desired
- Self-driven with ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and working under various distractions and constraints
- Ability to learn and understand electro-mechanical systems
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with bench and automated test equipment
- Experience with soldering inspection methods
- Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical requirements include long periods of standing and/or sitting, working with hand tools/small components, ability to lift 10 - 30 lbs
- Requires reading, writing/arithmetic skills, oral communication skills, visual acuity, manual dexterity and successful completion of on-the-job training
