CSG is organized by core customer-facing lines of business to manage and grow programs within NASA, NOAA, USGS, and the NNSA, while extending our capabilities to other civilian federal government agencies fully integrated within Aerospace rules, regulations, processes, values and behaviors.This position will support NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Engineering Directorate's Crew and Thermal Systems Division in a subsystem engineer and manager capacity across various Environment Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) topics.This position is at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX.What You'll Be Doing- This individual will serve as a technical specialist in life support systems engineering, including requirements development, technical resource management, engineering data management, interface definition, engineering planning and design integration.

- Water Management (distribution and storage, contaminant Mgmt)

- System upgrade support
- Design review support for several NASA Programs (Artemis, Orion, Gateway, ISS)
- Experience in aerospace project management is desired
- Knowledge of space flight certification processes to ensure performance and safety requirements are met (including knowledge of NPR 7120, EA-WI-023, or equivalent processes)
- Ability to engage on ECLSS trade studies and analysis
- Coordinate ECLSS requirements and technical objectives with subject matter experts and collaborators
- Prepare and present decision packages and change requests for program forums
- Perform additional tasks for the customer as required
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical subject area
- 8 or more years of professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or project management environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle
- Ability to optimally apply oral and written communication to express technical concepts
- Experience working across diverse teams and many different engineering subject areas
- Knowledge of space flight certification processes to ensure performance and safety requirements are met
- Experience in one of the aforementioned areas of ECLSS
- Advanced technical degree
