GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Blue Ox Moving and Storage is currently hiring drivers to become part of a growing organization. Full and part time hours available. Pay is based on experience with great earning potential, PLUS TIPS!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and pack customers’ items to prevent damage during transit. Tasks include taking apart furniture, wrapping items to prevent damage and packing items into boxes.

Load and unload customers items using dollies/ramps etc.

Arrange items in the truck to fit the load and prevent objects from falling or getting damaged.

Offload truck at destination and place items per customers request.

Assemble furniture

Track inventory to ensure nothing gets lost or damaged

Answer customers’ questions and address requests they have for how they want items packed, loaded, and unloaded.

Provide information about price and time estimates and address any concerns.

Process payments from customers

Communicate effectively between the customer and the local office for any questions or concerns that may arise during move.

Responsible for keeping moving trucks clean and help perform general vehicle maintenance.

Assists other support staff with assigned functions as needed

Perform other related essential duties as assigned or requested

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Drivers must possess valid drivers license with clean driving record and be able to pass drug test

High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience

Driving experience preferred but not required

Able to move furniture and lift at least 70lbs

Ability to successfully engage with customers face to face while on the job.

Must be professional and respectful at all times.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and background check
