Responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team as they deliver technology solutions. Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices. Ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. They have built significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Designs and develops and is accountable for feature delivery. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality. Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt. Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level. Acts as a liaison for production activities/issues. Works with Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria. Guides the team on work breakdown and execution. Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team. Guides team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices). Identifies skill and role gaps, and works with Technology Manager to address them. Overview:

A Feature Lead to work as the application manager for three applications and environment coordinator for highly visible and mission critical Global Trade Finance applications. They will manage assignments, work focus and deliverables, coordination across applications and environment while assisting Senior Technology Managers and a Release Train Engineer to apply strong leadership and direction ensuring the application teams meet all initiative and BAU commitments. As the application manager of three third party applications the individual will be responsible for all AIT, RISE, ADSM, etc. compliance and risk deliverables associated with these applications; will be working with the Line of Business (LOB), vendors, technical teams as needed. One of those applications is highlight visible revenue source for Supply Chain Finance and is starting a second phase of implementation of global expansion in APAC and EMEA requiring close collaboration with senior LOB managers. As the environment coordinator they will work with Senior Technology Managers, a Release Train Engineer, and other Feature Leads across several Agile teams, CTO partners, and L2 support groups to coordinate the planning and ensure consistency in the use of the environments during patching and upgrade activities, application changes and releases.

The position offers opportunities in expanding the above areas as well as growing in other development areas within the application team. In the areas of responsibility the individual will have counterparts and back up in India and USA.

Responsibilities:
  • As application manager, ensure on time and within budget delivery on all identified Bank compliance and risk deliverables
  • Timely handling of AIT, RISE, ADSF, etc. deliverables
  • Work with vendors, development teams, CTO teams, Vendor Management to ensure proper plans, execution and communication are in place to fully meet the deliverables
  • On time and within budget delivery on all initiative development and BAU work by leading or participating as needed activities like
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations LOB partners
  • Participate in estimates of the development work, solution designs
  • Collaborate on and lead application development planning and implementation activities of third party vendors
  • Ensure proper production implementation and post-implementation support of solutions
  • Timely addressing BAU items
  • Coordinate remediation of GIS security findings
  • Plan implementation of bug fixes and enhancements
  • Keep applications current with enterprise routines (AIT, RISE, patching, access, technical recovery, etc.)
  • Respond to external and internal audits
  • Manage the responses to incoming ad hoc requests from LOB (Product, Operations, or client questions coming through Operations Support
  • As applicable, manage L3 support and ensure focus, scope and separation of the CTO-managed L1 and L2 group
  • Be a go-to SME for Global Cloud Governance approval process and compliance
  • Have continued focus on improving and sustaining the applications' performance and stability
  • Instill and maintain an efficient and consistent approach in planning, execution, and communication of the environment work for all midrange applications within Global Trade Finance
  • Coordinate and plan the installation of patches and upgrades to the lower non-production environments with minimum disruption of deliverables
  • Coordinate, plan, ensure flawless execution and full technical and functional application validation of patches and upgrades to the production/contingency environments with minimum disruption
  • Assist in the planning of the environment availability and end-to-end swim lanes for application deployments and testing (functional and performance) in lower environments through production
  • Work with CTO partners and the application teams to have a sustainable process and efficient execution for all these activities
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of the status of these activities
  • Lead Global Trade Finance Governance coordination and weekly meetings with LOB managers, Tech Managers, CTO L2 Application Support managers
  • Assist in release and deployment planning and implementation
  • Be involved in providing architectural guidance for development solutions
  • Work closely with the Front Office and Back Office Senior Technology Managers, Release Train Engineer, SQA and UAT managers, and the business analysts within a cohesive team structure to ensure full coordination of the work, alignment of the teams and coordinated delivery on all commitments
  • Become a subject matter expert on these applications and thoroughly understand the architecture and business interactions within Global Trade Finance
  • Learn the business of Trade Finance and be a trusted partner with the LOB working in a highly collaborative environment
  • As needed, collaborate with technical and business partners in APAC and EMEA

Required skills:
  • 5 - 7 years Midrange programming/technical experience (e.g., Java, SQL development, Oracle, Exadata, LINUX, RHEL, server administration)
