Description:The Field Engineer will be on site natural gas compressor stations projects. These are industrial plants - Natural gas is highly pressurized as it travels through a pipeline. To ensure the natural gas remains pressurized, it must be compressed periodically along the pipeline. This is accomplished by using compressor stations where gas is compressed either by a turbine, a motor or an engine.These facilities have all disciplines on site: civil, mechanical, electrical, a lot of piping work.Field Engineer will be on site these facilities working with the trades (either self performed or contractors) doing the following:
maintain and promote strong safety culture
assist the PM in managing smaller projects
understand terms conditions and scope of contract
track materials, production and project costs for PM to review and approve
assist in facilitating subcontractor activities
maintain project schedule
basic estimating, take offs, and solicitation of quotes
onsite admin support
assist with qa/qc and test protocols
