Description We are looking for a diligent Financial Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, forecasting, and report preparation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the finance team, interacting and building relationships with various sites across North America.Responsibilities Oversee and assist with monthly accounting close to ensure accurate and timely completion of regional financial results, including recording of accruals and overhead costs Conduct and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports, focusing on analysis of key metrics and variances Support income and property tax accounting functions, including posting monthly accruals and journal entries Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and prepare account reconciliations to ensure data integrity Aid in the preparation of forecasts and budgets, including the analysis and explanation of significant changes from previous forecasts Review approvals on payment requests, price changes, inventory write offs, fixed asset dispositions, and other transactions to provide oversight and support to the regional business delegation of authority and internal control environment Assist in the preparation of actual and estimated cash flow statements Support both internal and external audit requests Prepare ad-hoc reports as required Utilize SAP and other accounting software to process and analyze financial data Apply knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques in a manufacturing environment Conduct inventory analysis to support business decisions.For immediate consideration, please email Emily at emily.bass@roberthalf.c0mRequirements Must hold a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role as a Financial Analyst. Proficiency in SAP software is mandatory. Demonstrated skills in budgeting and forecasting. Prior experience in a manufacturing company is required. Should have a strong background in inventory analysis. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Must possess a strong understanding of financial trends and patterns. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is considered a plus. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
