Maintains the financial projections on an ongoing basis for all departments Run and analyze the institutional Free Balance report to determine chartfield string (CFS) balances for each applicable steward.

Run and analyze project budget queries in Resource One (R1) Financials to determine current and future awards for sponsored projects for each applicable steward.

Run and analyze revenue and expense queries in R1 Financials and OBIEE to determine year-to-date income activity by CFS for each applicable steward.

Run and analyze personnel queries in R1 myHR to determine all current and future-dated job actions for each applicable steward.

Run and analyze the personnel encumbrance detail in the Free Balance application to determine employees external to Cancer Prevention funded by each applicable steward.

Analyze YTD expense detail to calculate and project additional pay expenses, fringe rates, and non-personnel expense trending by CFS for each applicable steward.

Utilize advanced Excel skills (Smart View, filtering, vlookups) to combine and format data into a comprehensive departmental spreadsheet used to project individual CFS balances for each applicable steward.

Staff the Quarterly Financial Review (QFR) meetings, which includes performing ad hoc updates and/or answering inquiries regarding specific data being presented for each applicable steward.

Prepares and distributes monthly financial and operational reports, including E&G/PRS Margin Variance reporting, Professional Activity reporting, and limited Epic/OneConnect reporting Build, run and analyze Epic, Resource One (OBIEE), and/or Hyperion queries to prepare monthly financial and activity reports for Division and departmental management review.

Identify and communicate variances or funding issues requiring departmental explanation and/or resolution.

Assists with the Division's annual budget submission, including activity, revenue and expense. Maintain clinical activity projections by provider.

Maintain, update, and analyze Division financial forecasts. Prepare and enter budget data directly into Planning.

Run and analyze budget reports, identifying variances to budget targets for management review.

Prepares and distributes quarterly grants & contracts reports, including Submissions and Active Grants. Build, run and analyze PeopleSoft and Click Grants queries to provide quarterly updates for Division and departmental management review.

Collaborate with department contacts to identify and resolve issues related to pending and active grant updates.

Assists with the design, execution, and monitoring of internal controls and procedures for the Division. In conjunction with the other members of the Finance Team, assist with effort to provide Divisional oversight and monitoring of funds/projects to ensure compliance with institutional policy and federal regulations.

Conduct recurring audits and reviews of departmental processes and procedures, including STAT sample and Status of Department Funds reconciliations.

Work with Division management and department staff to identify, implement, and track corrective action.
