We are working with an Oilfield client that is growing like crazy and adding a

Front-End Software Engineer – PPCU (Direct Hire) to their team.

Pay: 120k (3-5 years exp.) and 150k (7-10 yrs. exp.)

Job Location: Onsite – Sugar Land, TX 77478

Additional Information: 10% - 20% annual bonus, and long-term incentives in the form of RSUs ranging from 95k-115k.

Job Overview: The Front-End Software Engineer is responsible for developing the front end of a web application, i. e. the visual elements that users see and interact with.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build sophisticated and elegant user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with user experience, visual designers, developers, and product owners to implement scalable and interactive applications.
  • Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.
  • Provide technical leadership and documentation to developers and stakeholders.
  • Apply usability procedures and principles as defined at the project or Product Line level or through customer input.
  • Build prototypes, products, and systems that meet the project quality standards and requirements.
  • Contribute to and supports reuse through common components that are well-documented, and tested.
  • Interact and engage with customers, users, Product Managers, and Technical Architects to understand needs and increase the positive impact on users’ experience.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's (or equivalent industrial experiences) / Master’s / Ph.D. degree in science or engineering with software experience or education.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience (BA Degree), or 3 years of direct experience (MA Degree).
  • Expertise with Angular UI framework.
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end focused software development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years of experience in cross-browser compatibility, browser tuning, and optimization tools/techniques.
  • 5+ years of experience in multi-tier web architecture.
  • 1+ years of experience producing system-level design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, scaling, and security) of new and current systems.
  • Experience in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, and C# including object-oriented design.
  • Understanding of CI/CD best practices.
  • Familiarity using Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
