Release Managers Location: Texas Responsibilities Forward Plan the release windows and cycles for Engineering. Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and with great quality. Communicate status of releases, and any changes in plan/scope effectively across all cross functional groups Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different geographical locations. (USA, Mexico and India) Conduct Release Readiness reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews. Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans. Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists. Work with engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges. Maintains the release schedule for all Engineering deliverables and ensure alignment across key stakeholders. Work with development teams to automate release tools as needed. Maintain documentation of key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists. Researches and analyzes new software development and configuration management methodologies/technologies. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Coming from a Software Engineering background with strong communication and organizational skills. 8+ years of experience in release management in a technical environment. Experience handling complex, release cycles. 8+ years of experience with build/release tools such as Jenkins, git, source control systems like Bitbucket. 8+ years of experience with process tools such as Jira process workflows, Jira release dashboards, Release portfolio tools, Confluence etc Ability to coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams spread across the globe. Expert knowledge of CICD fundamentals and processes, code merging and branching strategies in Bitbucket, knowledge of Release Branches, code rollbacks and all things relating to Release Engineering. Scrum Master Certification is a plus Ability to run all Agile ceremonies and ensuring deliverables are met per the agreed upon timelines.
