AECOM is seeking a GIS/Data Specialist to be based in the Austin, TX office.Under supervision, the GIS/Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting a variety of geospatial and data analysis tasks for technology, transportation, and traffic applications. Join a team of experienced technology solution experts to create innovative solutions applying new and emerging technology to transportation.This position is expected to begin in May/June 2025.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Create and maintain accurate geospatial datasets, maps, and reports using ArcGIS Online and other GIS software, tools, and technologiesConduct data analysis to support transportation planning, design, and maintenance projectsDevelop custom GIS applications, scripts, and tools to improve data quality, accessibility, and efficiency using ArcGIS OnlineManage and maintain TxDOT's applications, geospatial data, and metadata on ArcGIS Online and other platforms according to established standards and policiesCollaborate with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of GIS data and productsProvide technical support and training to GIS users within TxDOT on ArcGIS Online and other GIS toolsPrepare and give effective presentationsGood communication skills and team spiritWork in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
