A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm's legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of litigation, counselling, and corporate, commercial, and employment law. You'll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firm's client contracting function, and advising on matters related to employees.

As part of our team, you'll help with researching background information related to legal issues and prepare legal documents. You'll focus on drafting contracts or legal agreements, retaining files of prepared legal documents, and coordinating requests between internal and external counsel.

Global Ois augmenting a team of experienced technology and intellectual property lawyers. The attorney in this role will advise on an array of complex matters related to global technology solutions across the PwC network, primarily software and SaaS, but also other forms of intellectual property. This attorney will provide counseling and commercial support regarding intellectual property ownership, licensing, protection and management and technology development, deployment, and management.

Demonstrating thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:
  • Providing legal advice, often on a time-sensitive basis, to senior leadership, project teams, and technologists, on legal-related matters concerning development, deployment, and management of global products and applications;
  • Identifying and addressing highly complex legal, regulatory, and business issues involving significant risk and requiring application of seasoned judgment;
  • Knowing when support is needed from other experienced professionals in the organization and/or from outside counsel, and managing outside counsel to obtain optimal outcomes;
  • Collaborating and effective teaming, including with other attorneys (e.g., subject matter experts), global functions (e.g., risk management, procurement), and project teams;
  • Developing guidance and documentation and drafting and negotiating agreements related to the development, deployment, and management of global products and applications;
  • Providing legal assistance and guidance to address territories' concerns regarding the use of global products and applications;
  • Identifying, protecting, managing, commercializing and licensing intellectual property;
  • Demonstrating familiarity with technology transactions, data privacy and protection, and open source;
  • Utilizing a Global perspective, handling international matters, and dealing with international colleagues;
  • Working with diverse business cultures and often competing perspectives;
  • Building consensus, even for difficult or unpopular courses of action, necessitated by legal or regulatory requirements;
  • Preparing presentations and communications for diverse stakeholders on technology matters; and,
  • Negotiating with different parties with respect to legal and technology issues.
