Med Surg Registered Nurse Job Qualifications:Education

Nursing Diploma required or

Associate’s degree in Nursing required or

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

Med Surg experience preferred; Telemetry, Oncology, ICU, or PCU experience helpful

Licenses and Certifications

Texas RN – Registered Nurse required upon hire and

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required upon hire

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually required within 90 days of hire

ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire

A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

CST (Certified Surgical Technician) Job Qualifications:Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Req Or

Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon hire Req

Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon hire Pref

Experience

1 Year current operating room experience Pref

Licenses and Certifications

CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire Req Or

CST - Certified Surgical Technologist and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire Req Or

CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology 2 Years Req Or

LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire Req And

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

SPD (Sterile Processing Department) Job Qualifications:Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience

1 Year sterile processing experience preferred
