Hiring Host and Food Expeditor

Position Summary:

Sushihana is seeking an attentive Host to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about creating seamless guest experiences in a refined, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities:

Welcoming and greeting guests; ensuring a seamless flow through the restaurant and to arranged dining tables

Coordinating and communicating with the Chef and managers openly regarding service

Speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and responding well to questions

Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties

Exhibiting a familiarity with daily menus

Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment

Requirements:

At least one year in a Host(ess) position in a upscale dining setting

Has a sincere interest in the hospitality industry

Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction

Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time

Punctuality is extremely important

Sushihana is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate worker to join our team. As a Food Expeditor, you will serve as the point of communication between servers and kitchen staff. The expeditor will ensure that orders get to customers in a timely manner while also confirming that everything on their plate is correct and ready to go.

Responsibilities:

Assist in communication between the kitchen and servers by calling out orders, checking on the status of food, and sharing information about food requests or out-of-stock items

Manage the flow of orders, making sure all are prepared in a timely manner

Oversee dishes before they leave the kitchen, ensuring they meet restaurant standards

Enforce health and safety regulations

Requirements:

One year of experience

Working knowledge of restaurant health and safety regulations

Excellent communication and multitasking skills, particularly while working in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail
