Cloud Engineer - HPC Austin, Texas Mode of Interview: Phone + Skype Job Description: Must Have Skills & Experiences: Expert level understanding of networking technologies, north and south bound APIs and be proficient in JavaScript, Python and Java. Strong background in HPC and VMWare environments but a good understanding of HPC and HPC type of workloads would satisfy. Experience with automated workflows that enable self-services from tools such as vRealize Automation and ServiceNow would be relevant. Customer portal development experience is desired for this role. Minimum 5+ years of related experience. Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures and manage IaaS and PaaS as relates to assigned project/program. Strong attention to detail and documentation in developing collaterals such as diagrams, deployment and support playbooks and guides, whitepapers. Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues. Strong HPC background and knowledge base to include benchmark tools such as: HPL, Stream, IOR, MDtest, OSU MPI, HPC Challenge, OpenFOAM, NAMD, WRF, GROMACS, Quantum Expresso, MLPerf. Understanding of VMware tools and suites as related to cloud for developing a customer portal and basic administration showcasing HPC Cloud. This position will be a part of a small team of High-Performance Computing and Cloud focused engineers, architects, and system integrators. You will work on a virtualized high performance and scalable computing architecture that supports HPC cloud managed services. You will help drive and manage technical activities including development, integration, validation, and benchmarking of the system as well as technical documentation and collaterals. You will help analyze the testing and benchmarking resulting data to build collaterals in support of the marketing, sales, and support components of the solution. This could include white papers, blogs, best practices, deploy and integration guides. You would be coordinating across multiple teams internal and external with partners. You will help define the solution integration best practices.
