About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team. In this role, you won’t need to sell or upsell — all jobs come pre-qualified through our digital platform. Instead, you’ll focus on delivering excellent installs, solving problems in the field, and being a trusted face of Mint Home during the install process. Our installers also enjoy and benefit from the reliability of year round pay and installs.
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC Installation & Service Delivery
- Perform residential HVAC installations with high quality and attention to detail.
- Use our field management platform to manage job schedules and submit job completion reports.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local/state building codes.
- Customer Experience & Communication
- Provide exceptional customer service on-site, addressing concerns and walking customers through system use.
- Educate homeowners on system care and the benefits of regular maintenance — no selling required.
Team Coordination & Field Problem Solving
- Collaborate with dispatch, ops team, and other field techs to ensure smooth and on-time installs.
- Proactively communicate site challenges or scope changes for quick resolution.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Certifications
- 4+ years of recent experience as a Lead Installer (residential HVAC)
- EPA Certification (required)
- NATE Certification (preferred, not required)
Tools & Transportation
- Access to a work truck or van equipped with basic HVAC install tools
Skills & Attributes
- Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage job sites
- Excellent communication skills — can explain technical info clearly to non-technical customers
- Physically able to lift, bend, and work in attics or crawl spaces
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
