We are working with an Oilfield client that is growing like crazy and adding an

IIoT Engineer – SLIIC (Direct Hire) to their team.

Pay: 120k (3-5 years exp.) and 150k (7-10 yrs. exp.)

Job Location: Onsite – Sugar Land, TX 77478

Additional Information: 10% - 20% annual bonus, and long-term incentives in the form of RSUs ranging from 95k-115k.

Job Overview: The IIoT Engineer is responsible for designing and developing software solutions to enable connectivity and control of sensors and actuators at the Edge. The IIoT Engineer draws on a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering and extensive knowledge of communication protocols, messaging systems, embedded Linux, and device management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing, and set up and run lab simulations.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software.
  • Stay current with the cutting edge in the Internet of Things (IoT) related technologies.
  • Share expertise throughout the organization and provide user training for products.
  • Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to produce development plans that ensure high-quality, low-cost products and systems.
  • Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's (or equivalent industrial experiences) / Master’s / Ph.D. degree in science or engineering with software experience or education.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience (BA Degree), or 3 years of direct experience (MA Degree).
  • Experience in one or more technologies or frameworks such as C, C, or Python.
  • Experience with building cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) – Not a must-have but a big plus.
