As an Information Security Threat Analyst, you will: Become a member of our Investment Banking Cyber Security Operations group within Information Security to assist the Cyber Threat Intelligence and Electronic Crime Team. Review internal and external, finished and raw intelligence sources for threats to the firm and our stakeholders Develop, collect, and research various indicators, assess their impact on the firm, and recommend alerting and/or prevention techniques where appropriate Identify and report on trends in actor groups, techniques, and other threats Investigate alerts of malicious activity and electronic crime matters Collaborate with other elements of the Cyber Security organization in defending the firm from cyber threats
3+ years of experience in a cyber threat intelligence, cyber security, or cyber investigation role University degree, industry recognized security certifications, or demonstrable abilities and accomplishments in place of degree Investigative mindset, curiosity, and an eagerness to continue learning Ability to share ideas and analysis in an effective, concise manner to a variety of audiences Prioritize taskings and collaborate with a team Analyze and investigate email threats, including email headers and related infrastructure Splunk use and log analysis Desired Skills and Experience: Identify key findings and report (verbally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner Intermediate knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Network Layers, etc.) Intermediate knowledge of malware operation and indicators Intermediate knowledge of current threat landscape (threat actors, APT, cyber-crime, etc.) Intermediate knowledge of security related technologies and their functions (IDS, IPS, FW, WAF, SIEM, DLP, Proxy, next gen anti-malware etc.) Experience with scripting or automation Self-starter with the personal drive to achieve superior performance Integrity and the highest ethical standards- ID: #23627747
