Within the Safety Critical Systems team, we are seeking talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our Vehicle Systems with a desire to develop and maintain software requirements to design, analyze, code, and test to verify and validate real-time embedded safety critical software. As a member of the team, you will help develop many best-in-class products and solutions in our Aeronautic business area in Fort Worth, TX.

As a member of the Safety Critical Systems Team, you will be expected to:
  • Apply Agile methodologies to the system/software development life cycle and participate in Agile Scrums to execute daily task assignments.
  • Participate in the technical process of transforming requirements to be accomplished by computer software into one or more configured and documented computer products that fulfill the allocated requirements.
  • Apply rigid processes focused on maintaining system integrity while adjusting to new software and hardware development.
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
  • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
  • Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
  • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Computer Engineering or STEM) willing to learn about Safety/Flight Critical Processes
  • Real-time Embedded Systems Design and Implementation using C in a Real-time embedded environments
  • Broad experience across the entire software development lifecycle
  • Experience in Hardware/Software Integration
  • Experience meeting DO-178 Safety Critical Software Development Objectives
  • Experience with aircraft systems/subsystems

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Flight Control Systems
  • Experience with Configuration Management Tools, Compilers, Linkers, Debuggers, and Static Code Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Agile Development methodologies Processes & Tools
  • Program Computers in High-Order Languages
  • Experience with Real time embedded software
