Odyssey is working with a local home building company to find an Infrastructure Manager to join their team. This role will be mostly remote, but we would like someone in the DFW area to come into the data center every so often. View details down below:OBJECTIVE:The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, security, and reliable operations of the company's Infrastructure, data centers, cloud environments, disaster recovery plan, servers, networks, phone systems, as well as core business applications and supporting software such as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, VMware vSphere, MFA solutions, and Arctic Wolf / CrowdStrike platforms. The Infrastructure Manager oversees the Infrastructure team, leads Infrastructure planning and projects, manages vendors, makes recommendations to improve Highland’s infrastructure and environments, and partners with the Director of IT Operations to develop the annual infrastructure budget.The Infrastructure Manager serves as a public facing member of the IT team and is responsible for the timely resolution of all infrastructure-related technical issues.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:Management Responsibilities• Proactively lead the Infrastructure team to develop and deliver effective solutions with minimum business interruption.• Hire, train, coach, and manage Infrastructure team members.• Plan, organize, and oversee the timely and quality implementation of projects and deliverables.• Provide technical guidance to the team and serve as the senior escalation path for all infrastructure issues.Network Management• Monitor and continually evaluate the network architecture across the enterprise. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, and optimizing all local and wide area networks, VoIP, Internet, and other data communication platforms.• Oversee the design, configuration, installation, security, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, wireless, etc.• Design, implement, and maintain a network health management system that continually monitors network load and performance.• Ensure enterprise is leveraging fault tolerance, redundancy, disaster recovery, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency best practices where necessary.• Troubleshoot and resolve all network issues promptly.Server Management• Oversee and support all current server hardware, software, cloud, and virtualization platforms both locally and in an offsite datacenter. Support all existing server software and licensing, including Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, VMware vCenter/vSphere, and Amazon Web Services.• Ensure all critical data is adequately backed up, protected, and recoverable (including all SQL databases). Desktop/Mobile Administration• Oversee the selection, design, and implementation of systems and patch management tools and processes.• Ensure all systems are current with applicable security patches and anti-virus updates.Security Management• Responsible for ensuring the secure operation of all systems in the enterprise.• Establish, implement, and ensure compliance with Highland Homes IT Security Policies.• Research products and solutions, collaborate with vendors, and implement solutions that meet the needs of the business while maintaining security standards.• Oversee the review of security dashboards, system configurations, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to vulnerabilities or suspicious activity.• Vulnerability management, documentation, and remediation:o Perform ongoing penetration testing and vulnerability scans (internal and external).o Creation and maintenance of an incident response plan and security policies. Test plan annually.o 24x7 response to security alerts.• Oversee the development of system hardening standards.• Address security concerns and manage the remediation process.Other duties as assigned.RESULTS EXPECTED:• Complete a solo deep-dive analysis of the current state, and then design and execute solutions that align with the company’s IT strategy.• Ability to act as a "public-facing" team member who can effectively partner with departmentstakeholders, gather business requirements, and develop and execute solutions.• Champions continuous process improvement, performance management, and metrics-driven results.• Develops and maintains documentation of system policies, procedures, and configurations.• Provide quality work according to Highland Homes Core Values & Guiding PrinciplesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's degree in MIS or other related technical field preferred, or 10+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in an infrastructure related area, during which bothprofessional and tactical capabilities have been demonstrated, is required.• Prior experience managing a team is required.• Industry-standard certifications strongly preferred.• Network architecture design and implementation strongly preferred:o Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) (e.g., Rackspace, etc.)o Platform as a Service (PaaS) (e.g., MS Azure, AWS, etc.)o Software as a Service (SaaS) (e.g., Salesforce, etc.)• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of network and system security (including vulnerabilities and exploits)required:o Firewalls, IPS\IDS, penetration testingo Internal and external vulnerability scanning and remediationo Security monitoring, analysis, and collection tools• Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012+ Active Directory and Group Policies required.• Demonstrated Windows performance tuning and troubleshooting skills required.• Windows Server Administration to include Active Directory, SQL, and IIS technologies required.• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is required.• Windows networking with Microsoft Windows 7/10 and Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 required.• Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting to automate tasks.• System deployment life cycle and change management methodologies required.• General Internet concepts knowledge (Web, DNS, SMTP, FTP, Search engines) required.• Networking (TCP/IP, IP addressing) and Telecommunications experience required.• Supporting various mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) required.• Manage imaging technologies for system deployment required.• Experience with remote access technologies (Remote Desktop Services, VDI, and/or Citrix) required.• Manage Network security concepts (Patch Management, Anti-Virus, Spyware) required.• Must be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade computers independently.• Must be able to install and upgrade applications and software as required independently.• General knowledge of accounting, payroll, financial, and HRIS systems is strongly preferred.• Able to assist non-technical people in solving technical problems required.• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (defined as 14 days after the vaccine’s final dose).
