Restaurant Repair Company is an independently owned and operated company and a leader in providing repairs and maintenance to the commercial food service industry.

We service, repair, and provide preventative maintenance on virtually every type of equipment in a commercial kitchen, including ovens, fryers, dish machines, steamers, hot wells, ice machines, A/C Refrigeration, etc.

Our customers include restaurant chains, hospitals, nursing homes, supermarkets, convenience stores, schools and universities, and any establishment with a commercial kitchen.

Job Responsibilities

As a field service technician for Restaurant Repair Company, you will be dispatched daily to as many as 3 to 5 (or more) customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install parts, and answer any questions customers may have regarding service work in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems on all commercial kitchen equipment including refrigeration equipment. (Hot & Cold Side)

- Complete repairs and/or install necessary parts to return equipment to working order and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

- Successfully perform preventative maintenance on any equipment.

- Complete work orders and estimate forms clearly and legibly with ALL necessary information including, descriptions, model #’s, serial, numbers, parts, and customer contact information.

- Communicate with the customer about the repair work being completed.

- Build rapport with customers by learning their needs and expectations and keeping them informed.

- Effectively manage time and resources to control costs and enhance efficiencies.

- Promote appropriate R&M services, products, and maintenance programs.

Position Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of industry experience – kitchen equipment, refrigeration, appliance repairs.

- Strong mechanical/electrical / gas-related experience.

- Must be able to take direction and communicate effectively with dispatch dept.

- Respond to service calls promptly with a sense of urgency.

- Follow orders and remain flexible when necessary.

- Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, heated surfaces, steam equipment, and liquids.

- Ability to work in humid and damp conditions including coolers & freezers.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and other high places.

- Valid driver's license and good driving record.

- Must have most of your tools.

Successful candidates will receive a company van, work shirts, and a company cell phone provided.

Compensation for field service technicians is based on experience with the most seasoned technicians getting top pay in the industry and future raises based on additional experience acquired as well as customer satisfaction, work ethic, and teamwork with the dispatch dept.

The following qualifications will result in higher starting pay:

-CFESA Certification

-EPA Certification

-State Refrigeration Helpers License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour and or $2,000 per week

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week.
