Our customized service offerings and world-class service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customer’s laboratory's business needs.How will you make an impact?This position is passionate about customer service and the inventory management aspects of Managed Services. Activities could include: stockroom / POU management, dispensing of product, and direction / coordination of affiliated stockroom activities. This role will apply the functionality of systems and applications such as: ULS IM, PacTrac, SciQuest programs. Customer interface communication skills are required. It is also encouraged that this position will have an understanding of performance metrics, and the ability to assemble vital data pertaining to individuals or team activities. Data integrity and attention to detail are paramount.What will you do?Pending position placement, other activities may include the following customer services: order entry, order expediting, customer service call resolution, return goods authorization, processing of backorders, vendor and customer interaction, problem resolution, completing 3rd party & agent buys.

Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP’s & work instructions. Take direction from Site Supervisor (and Team Lead) regarding daily duties.

Make decisions and utilize available resources to meet customer requirements, independently.

Analyze/maintain/reconcile reports to ensure customer and Fisher requirements are maintained.

Show strength in capturing, presenting and explaining site specific metrics.

Advise Site Supervisor or Team Lead of any customer issues or potential problems and help determine solutions.

Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements without the presence of site trainer and management team.

Listen to customer concerns, effectively diffuse dissatisfaction, and quickly identify a course of action with the goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times.

Works optimally with a diverse cross-functional team.

Embraces Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.

Access & utilize Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Intranet and SharePoint document management system.

Makes on-site program replenishments and disbursements. Performs stockroom duties to include receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.

Removes cardboard and trash as needed (Detrashing).

Delivers direct shipment orders to end users.

Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific throughout customer locations positively.

Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Education

Must possess a High School Diploma. College preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Able to read, write and speak English.

Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Maintains Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Four-I Values.

Possess a strong desire to serve the customer, along with the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site.

Deliver excellent customer service including maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Have the operating skills to use hand held scanners and learn to enter data in various systems.

Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet targeted time as needed.

Must possess strong analytical skills to reconcile various reports to ensuring customer requirements are met, and to collect, present and explain job or site specific performance metrics.

Must be proficient with a computer and the Microsoft Office suite of software. Works primarily at customer locations, in office environment to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments

May be required to work independently at customer location.

Extensive walking required. Able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently.

Able to use material handling equipment such as push carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets and/or safety gloves.

May pass through areas where chemical based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.)Must be able to work overtime as required.
