Industry expert with consulting or similar professional services experience in one or more of the following areas: ot cyber, life sciences, manufacturing, connected machines or operations

Successful track record developing new business, executing detailed business development plans, selling simple to complex solutions into strategic industrial accounts

Strong expertise in the landscape of processes, tools, applications and solutions used by major industrial companies

Innovative, driven, forward looking, able to provide guidance and expertise in IoT and Industry 4.0

experience in both technical sales and delivery of Digital and IOT solutions in Manufacturing

Comfortable and effective with C suite executives

Transparent and accountable

ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of the IoT Solution Architect will be to influence new offerings, collaborate with sales and delivery teams, and leverage Siemens Advanta partners to develop and drive customer solutions. The role will strategize with the sales executive and technical experts to develop and execute robust proposals in the Smart Manufacturing verticals.

business and opportunity development including proposal and offer creation, including scope definition, effort estimation, proposal development, SOW creation and contract negotiation.

collaborate closely with Siemens businesses to leverage customer intimacy, portfolio and domain know-how for a comprehensive offering

advisor for early technical evaluation and feasibility in individual customer-projects during the early sales phase and along the bid process.

identify and translate individual technical customer requirements into a comprehensive solution architecture, starting from ideation to final solution design and implementation.

partner with portfolio lead in customer meetings to understand their challenges and demands, proposing solutions and technically consult and guide the sales process to drive business value and outcomes.

propose and design end-to-end IoT & digitalization solutions establishing performance metrics, process optimizations and leveraging existing tools to ensure a highly scalable, high-performance solution for our clients.

together with the project manager you define and realize project deliverables

proactively engage in the marketing campaign planning sessions and share ideas to further improve our engagement with clients, including creation of proof-of-concept and demo artifacts

present business outcomes through technical solution to diverse audiences which includes clients, partners, and sales team relevant to the industry or market

collaborate closely with all Siemens organizations and external partners to leverage customer intimacy, portfolio and domain know-how for a strong IoT solutions offering

Required Skills:

10+ years of solution architecture and IT implementation experience, having worked in highly technical and analytics roles

8+ years in application, data and network architectures, visual data ingestion, stream / batch processing, analytics on enterprise-scale IoT projects

Demonstrated experience in leading and developing IoT solution architecture and PoC / MVP(s) for large-scale enterprise-wide solutions

Understand end-to-end solution and services model, consulting, solution design to build (technology) to operate (optimization and managed services)

Must have technical sales experience with direct and indirect sales

Results in business development management and supporting the closing of deals

Deep experience with the application usage and solution footprint in an industrial enterprise

Easy access to a major airport, flexibility in work schedule, including the ability to regularly travel

Minimum of bachelor’s degree

Knowledge and experience with IT networking requirements is a plus

Consultative experience in overall data strategy, governance, management and security is a plus

Broad familiarity with cloud platforms, IoT solution and product-based architectures including analytics, compute infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, communication protocols, sensors etc.

Growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies quickly

MBA preferred

The pay range for this position is $105,000-$140,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
