job summary:
I have a premier client in San Antonio texas looking for a helpdesk administrator for a permanent position. You will be responsible for the efficient handling of support requests pertaining to computer systems, software, and hardware. These systems include email and messaging communication, collaboration and document management, phone and networking, and specialized systems we license from various vendors. Critical to the success of this position will be the ability to effectively manage and process requests submitted to the help desk ticketing system in a prompt and professional manner. A basic understanding of networking, various operating systems, cloud services including Microsoft Office, Intune, communications, remote management tools, and other technologies commonly used today will be vital to the success of the Help Desk Administrator. An ideal candidate will be able to support the staff with the education of Microsoft Suite and a variety of other systems. location: San Antonio, Texasjob type: Permanentsalary: $55,000 - 62,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:- Serve as the first contact with customers who need technical assistance via the phone or email
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
- Provide on-site troubleshooting.
- Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service
- Enter support tickets and redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
- Provide needed information on IT products or services
- Keep record of problems and their resolution
- Follow-up with customers
- Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve
- Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting
- Suggest improvements on procedures
- Assists in asset management system.
- Mentor IT Technicians and provide guidance.
- Handle, more advanced tier 2 technical issues.
- Monitoring IT ticket queues for timely assignments.
- 2 years working experience and advanced knowledge of Information Technology systems, or relevant experience.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Proven proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal presentations, and written format.
