Location: DALLAS, TX or Phoenix, AZ or Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, Utah

Duration: 18 Months This Project Manager will be working on infrastructure projects in the field. An example of a project might be: We are moving into a new terminal at an airport. This Project Manager will work closely with facilities and the station project manager to determine what technology needs to be in place, purchasing this, rendering plans for installing this, managing the project and resource allocation to get everything in place (telephony, Wireless/WAN, computers, cabling, networking, etc). Communication skills are very important - to make sure all parties, resources, and contracting companies are on the same page, and maintain constant and consistent communication. Experience managing project budgets is required (the typical project budget for these project will be around 500K). Projects typically last between 3-6 months. This role will require approximately 3-4 travel days a month. The Infrastructure Services Field Projects Team project managers are responsible for all facets of the technology infrastructure implementation for projects at these stations using prescribed methodologies. This will include the documentation of project business requirements, business case analysis, financial analysis, product ordering, vendor management, and status reporting. Required Skills
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in Project Management.
  • Minimum 5 years in gathering requirements for projects and ability write clear and detailed project scope and requirements documents.
  • Must have strong project facilitation skills, able to work with many Teams and personalities to ensure the success of the project.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology and MS Project experience
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated ability in designing and implementing advanced cabling infrastructure. Understands cabling methodologies
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated knowledge of network equipment, including configuration, installation and termination of cabling.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, able to evaluate a problem and offer viable options to address the problem.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to forecast, track and report project financials and product inventory.
  • Must be able to multi task, can successfully work multiple streams of work at the same time.
  • Must have strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to present and speak in front of a large groups consisting of Technology and Business leadership.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated mastery using Excel, Word, Power Point and Visio.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated knowledge of the software and hardware deployed within each Business Area. Able to make sound business decisions regarding project scope.
  • Minimum 3 years reading and understanding architecture drawings.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to complete tasks on schedule without supervision.
  • Experience with business analysis and process re-engineering disciplines.
  • Experience developing and implementing standards for task and project estimating
  • Familiar with building construction codes.
  • Experience with network design and low-voltage cabling installations.
  • Experience managing and tracking project budgets for both resource allocation and spend.
Preferred Skills
  • Project management experience in the airline business or other travel industry
  • RCDD qualification would be a plus
  • Experience with new airport construction and expansion/remodeling of airport facilities
