What you'll do

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Data Services and MarTech team has an exciting opportunity to accelerate and improve data strategy and operations and are seeking an exceptional data manager to lead a high-performing team of 6-7 data engineers, automation engineers, and data analysts. As a Manager, you will be responsible for driving the data quality, integrity, and accuracy of customer data onto our tax and bank applications to build an omnichannel customer solution. This role will partner closely with other IT development teams, product managers, and architects across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic thought leadership for data architecture to build data quality capabilities to accelerate data insight and enhance the client experience.
  • Establish frameworks, methods, and tools for data ecosystem maturity to accelerate data quality.
  • Detect anomalies and improve data quality using machine learning solutions, apply end-to-end testing and observability across the data platform
  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing technical and data analysts, including hiring top talent and investing in their growth
  • Ensuring compliance of data quality norms and standards
  • Designing and deploying dashboards to monitor data quality
  • Constantly develop capabilities to scale with the growth of the business and the needs of customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in a data engineering, data management, analytics, or data-centric customer-facing role
  • Direct people management experience in mentoring and managing data engineers
  • Experience with Azure Data Services (SQL, synapse/databricks, cosmos, ADF, Storage, etc), PowerBI/SSRS, Azure Cognitive Services and Talend
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Experience handling multiple projects while successfully meeting project deadlines; project management experience is a plus.
