IT Network and Infrastructure Engineer 80-90% Remote Must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area to be considered

This is a 3-6 month contract to perm. Candidates must live the the Dallas/Fort Area to be considered.80-90% RemoteThe IT Network and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operations of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), wireless networks and the firewall administration. The IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will pursue a unified enterprise network environment across the agency, ensuring maximum stability and operational uptime. This role will help develop the best practices for network stability across the environment. This is a role where department objectives are accomplished by managing staff, planning, and evaluating department activities and assisting in implementation of network best practices, etc.In addition, the IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for analyzing, identifying, and resolving IT network issues. This role will conduct the appropriate network analysis and propose the appropriate countermeasures. In addition, IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will Implement, monitor, and report on all IT Network related measures on an ongoing basis as well as work collaboratively with subject matter experts across the organization. This position will establish an IT network management process, develop network data analytics, implement appropriate protocols, and develop dashboards and reports.This position requires initiative, independence, drive, and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to perform a wide variety of responsibilities. Strong communication skills are an asset that will be helpful while working closely with various teams across the agency.

• Will engage in network engineering using routers and switches as hardware.
• Will engage in network administration.
• Will create routing protocols, including RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, ICMP, and TCP.
• Will engage in packet tracing.
• Will install, configure, and support a segment of network system.

• Will monitor networks to ensure network availability to all system user and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Will assist in network modeling analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Will administer network security measures.
• Responsible for building and managing datacenter and cloud network technologies.
• Responsible for designing implementing complex network routing solutions.
• Designs implement and maintain cloud network infrastructure on Microsoft Azure/AWS/Oracle/IBM.
• Manages and monitors the cloud network infrastructure to ensure high availability performance and security.
• Collaborates to ensure the network infrastructure supports the deployment and operation of cloud-based applications and services.
• Configures and manages Azure networking components such as Virtual Network Load Balancer ExpressRoute VPN Gateway and NSG

• Able to work early mornings and/or late nights to execute critical network changes.
• Possess Senior Level experience with Data Center infrastructure solutions: VPN Cisco Route and Switch Palo Alto firewalls.
• Has a comprehensive knowledge on routing protocol BGP community strings route maps route filters.
• Able to build site to site VPN tunnels for both Cisco and Palo Alto’s platforms.
• Possesses experience in native cloud security technologies including Microsoft Azure AWS etc.
• Able to implement Campus LAN and WLAN solutions as well as network segmentation and access control in remote offices and campus locations.
• Possesses experience in virtualization in the network security and overall infrastructure space.
• Able to deploy and execute software defined infrastructure firewall technologies intrusion detection/prevention micro-segmentation and software defined network software defined WAN etc.
• Able to drive continuous improvement on developing and capturing technical problem-solving knowledge.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines for deliverables.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science computer engineering technology information systems CIS/MIS or equivalent quantitative field experience required
• 5 years of experience in a Network environment working with route switch firewalls VPN IDS/IPS
• 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS/Oracle/IBM networking technologies
• Strong experience in building site to site VPN tunnels for both Cisco and Palo Alto’s platform
• Experience in native cloud security technologies including Microsoft Azure AWS etc.
• 3 years of experience in delivering Software Defined Infrastructure leveraging automation orchestration scripting technologies
• Strong experience with Active Directory DNS.
• Advanced experience with firewall configurations dealing with multiple WAN's and redundant IPSEC tunnels.
• Ability to travel 25%
• Thorough understanding of network architectures and protocols.

• Any IT network or security certification a plus
