Job Title: IT Network Engineer

Location: 1630 Corporate Court, Irving, TX 75038

Duration: 9+ Months

Description:This position executes the daily operations of IT Network/Security related needs of the organization. This position will assist and collaborate on design, planning, installation and maintenance of a large campus environment. This position will also focus on testing and evaluating network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support infrastructure with expertise and fundamentals in a variety of concepts including:
  • Support infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless, optical connections, and firewalls.
  • Expertise and fundamentals in a variety of security concepts including: firewall management and administration, network administration, vulnerability management, patch management, security configuration, data protection and intrusion protection.
  • Establish and maintain standards by supplying functional documentation, including diagramming, for cross training and support purposes as directed
  • Firewall administration for both private and public environments
  • Intrusion Detection System administration
  • Review network activity logs and security system
  • Works with end users, peers, and Tenants to resolve network hardware and connectivity issues
  • Review network activity logs and security system
  • Expertise with Azure and cloud security preferred.

  • Apply Security Updates
  • Test and Evaluate Software
  • Assess Network Performance

Desired Qualifications:
  • CCNA at a minimum, CCNP credential is preferred.
  • Large Cisco switch/route environment with routed access layer
  • LAN/WAN BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • Nexus 7K, Catalyst 9300 and 9500 switches
  • Cisco Firepower Threat Defense with Firepower Management Center and Cisco ASA
  • Cisco wireless WLC/Prime/CMX 3802 Aps
  • Cisco ACI Multi-Pod
  • Cisco ISE for Radius/TACACS
  • Cisco UCS
  • F5 BigIP load balancers
  • InfoBlox DHCP/DNS/NTP
  • System monitoring SNMP/syslog/traps with SolarWinds is a plus.
  • Multicast experience with audio/video a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
  • Must have a proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, and with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Regular, reliable and consistent attendance
  • Knowledge of Genetic Security Software a plus.
