Candidates must live the the Dallas/Fort Area to be considered.80-90% RemoteThe IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operations of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), wireless networks and the firewall administration. The IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will pursue a unified enterprise network environment across the agency, ensuring maximum stability and operational uptime. This role will help develop the best practices for network stability across the environment. This is a role where department objectives are accomplished by managing staff, planning, and evaluating department activities and assisting in implementation of network best practices, etc. In addition, the IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for analyzing, identifying, and resolving IT network issues. This role will conduct the appropriate network analysis and propose the appropriate countermeasures. In addition, IT Network and Infrastructure Manager will Implement, monitor, and report on all IT Network related measures on an ongoing basis as well as work collaboratively with subject matter experts across the organization. This position will establish an IT network management process, develop network data analytics, implement appropriate protocols, and develop dashboards and reports. This position requires initiative, independence, drive, and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to perform a wide variety of responsibilities. Strong communication skills are an asset that will be helpful while working closely with various teams across the agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Evaluates, designs, and maintains all aspects of existing / future network solutions to include WAN, LAN, Security, and Wi-Fi solutions across all company’s locations.
- Configures, installs and manages all network hardware/software.
- Evaluates network systems ensuring maximum uptime availability and scalability to support business growth.
- Owns project and non-project related activities to support the department’s goals and objectives.
- Manages the policies and procedures to ensure all network infrastructure equipment are operating at the appropriate software levels.
- Installs and configure network monitoring and management systems.
- Ensures network security policies are adhered to and help develop new best practices.
- Performs routine network audits and penetration testing.
- Maintains documentation regarding network diagram, configurations, operating procedures, and service records.
- Participates in after business hour support for critical incident escalations.
- Performs incident root cause analysis and remediation of system outages.
- Assists in managing and maintenance of RF mobility equipment Provide Technical Application Support for the Security Infrastructure and Applications.
- Performs capacity, performance and Stability reporting and Management.
- Leads initiative to develop/improve scripts and other programs for system monitoring and maintenance.
- Leads Operations-related projects and Network assessment for the infrastructure of the Agency.
- Possesses leadership Skills to Document and do knowledge transfer to other team members.
- Assess the risk and associated impact of all operational issues and change events and react quickly to escalate to technology management in a timely manner when required.
- Keeps the Knowledge Share repository up to date.
- Possesses adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
- Possesses the ability to design solutions to be optimal for reporting, analytics, and dashboards.
- Oversees all operations related to network assessments, integration or Infrastructure and tools under global operational model, root cause analysis/resolution for network system issues.
- Coordinates the required environment scans and tests and the implementation of any remediation required for resulting vulnerabilities.
- Experienced with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting network equipment, wireless access points and firewalls.
- Experienced supporting multi-site environment working independently and in team environment.
- Supports commissioning team at site or remotely with communication network configuration.
- Collaborates with the relevant team in the preparation and coordination of projects technical materials.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to define and execute testing protocols to achieve agency-wide operations,
- Communicates commissioning plan and performance test procedures and activities.
- Organizes start-up and tests of equipment within for network infrastructure.
- Owns the administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to service reports, issue logging/tracking, job safety analysis, quality compliance.
- Possesses the ability to work early mornings and/or late nights to execute critical network changes.
- Drives continuous improvement on developing and capturing technical problem-solving knowledge.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines for deliverables.

- Prior history of managing a minimum of 2 direct reports.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in enterprise network design, installation and systems management
- Advanced experience with firewall configurations dealing with multiple WAN's and redundant IPSEC tunnels.
- Current network and security certifications preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to travel 25%
- Wireless LAN design including site survey
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent quantitative field experience required.
- Thorough understanding of network architectures and protocols.
- Any IT network or security certification a plus
