100% Onsite contract opportunity in the Houston Medical Center; must be local. (Manager has stated there's a high possibility of extension or conversion to FTE)

Summary:
  • Desktop Technician/IT Support Tech needed for Information Security initiative focused on encryption, reimaging/refresh, and software installation and configuration.
  • Client is moving from WinMagic towards BitLocker for encryption.
  • Strong customer service skills are required, must be able to manage the customer experience.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with high-level doctors, etc.
  • Support the existing and increased call volume and increased number of departments, applications and systems being supported by the IS Service Desk.
  • Will work with TrendMicro, WinMagic refresh, and mostly Dell & Apple.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Onsite Presence is required.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with desktop, mobile computing and/or network, including problem analysis/resolution, and installation. (May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis).
  • Presence/Dependability: Make every effort to be taking calls, at the beginning of their designated shift. If unable to make it to work, the agent will offer adequate notice, so alternate arrangements can be made.
  • Telephone Skills: Must exhibit excellent telephone skills by listening to the customer, allowing the customer to explain issues, exhibiting courtesy at all times, and understanding tried and true methods of resolving issues.
  • Continued Education and Learning: Attend regularly scheduled Knowledge Transfer Sessions, where they will be expected to interact, share knowledge, and enhance their own knowledge of the Service Desk by putting ideas into use.
  • Preferred Certification: CompTIA A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician, MS Certifications.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in multi-platform and complex software environment.
  • Other pluses to have: Previous Mobile support and Networking experience, & hospital/healthcare experience.
