Description We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team based in Coppell, Texas. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the IT industry. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our team, resolving computer-related issues for our clients, and maintaining our company's network.Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Respond to customer inquiries, guide them through the process of resolving their technical issues, and maintain a record of technical support interactions. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software. Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment and software in use, and manage software configurations. Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems. Provide deskside support when necessary, assisting users in resolving issues with hardware or software. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the applications and systems being used. Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records. Perform regular updates and routine maintenance on systems and equipment. Assist in the development of IT strategies and provide actionable advice and planning around future IT developments. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong understanding of computer hardware and ability to troubleshoot issues Experience with configuration management, including managing settings and properties of systems Ability to manage deployments, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases Experience with deskside support, including providing technical assistance to users Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Familiarity with IT standards and best practices Willingness to continue learning and improving IT skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and act in the company's best interest Previous experience in a similar IT support role is advantageous.
