Java Developer

As a software engineer working on Optical LAN products, you'll use your software design, analysis, programming and testing skills to enhance these exciting new networking products. You will resolve complex problems in a team environment utilizing the Agile software development process. This role will be primarily remote with occassional meetings in the Carrollton office. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work on assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires an understanding of a variety of factors.
• Employ problem-solving skills and display eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Assist with estimation of time and effort required to implement a project or assignment.
• Work individually or in a team.

• Experience with object-oriented programming in Java
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Familiarity with a software configuration management system such as ClearCase, SVN, or Git
• Ability to create test plans and implement code to satisfy those plans
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Bachelor s Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or other related technical degree
