PETADATA is looking for a Java Full-stack developer to work with one of our clients in multiple locations.

Job Location: Wilmington, DE/ McLean, VA, and Plano, TX

Work Authorization: W2, full-time.

Duration: Long-term 2+ years (possible extension).

Experience: 8+ years of experience required.

Visa: H1B Visa, TN Visa, or s.

Required Skills:
  • Ideal Candidate should have a minimum of 8+ years of software development experience in Java backend technologies.

  • Must require at least 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering (Node.JS, Java, or Go)
  • Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, Javascript/Typescript, Angular/React.js, or Node.js.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience working with Node.JS for back-end engineering.
  • Should have 4+ years of experience in Agile practices.
  • Should have 3+ years of experience with AWS relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with distributed technologies such as Cassandra, Elastic Search, or MongoDB and modern relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, and Redshift.
  • Experience using modern build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, etc, and with deploying clustered web services.

  • Should be an expert in the full-stack engineer who enjoys both leading projects and being an individual contributor / technical expert.
  • Should possess proficiency in an intense, energetic environment and working with passionate, top-notch people.
  • Candidate needs to execute well with a high degree of individual ownership but is also adept at working as part of a team.
  • Strong background in balancing the competing demands of rapid iteration and system reliability, scalability, and performance and ability to handle new developments in the open-source community.
  • Good knowledge in a data-driven and customer-first environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Should be able to work with product owners to understand desired initiatives and implement application capabilities.
  • Must contribute to the web platform, codebase, and developer experience that supports and other internal initiatives.
  • Ability to shape and continuously improve software engineering practices and own the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions.
  • Must be able to bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
