Job Summary

Responsible for providing comprehensive case management services to guests with the primary goals of maintaining housing, securing mainstream benefits, and increasing income and self-sufficiency. Case management activities include assessment of needs, development of long-term goals, provision of information and referrals, life skills training, and coordination of resources. All services must be fully documented, aligned with the mission of Presbyterian Night Shelter, and coordinated with relevant internal departments.

This position has a specialized focus on delivering trauma-informed, survivor-centered case management to victims and survivors of domestic violence who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Key objectives include ensuring client safety, increasing housing stability, and promoting long-term independence. Core responsibilities involve crisis intervention, safety planning, housing navigation, and facilitating access to supportive services such as legal assistance, healthcare, mental health services, employment resources, childcare, and domestic violence-specific supports.

Case management meetings will be conducted at scattered-site locations within residents’ homes and other community-based settings. The role also requires close collaboration with community partners, landlords, and internal departments to provide coordinated care that strengthens housing security and fosters client self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field is required.

At least one year of experience working with survivors of domestic violence, trauma-informed care, or vulnerable populations strongly preferred.

Experience working with diverse and/or difficult populations desired.

Knowledge of Intimate Partner Violence, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), gender-based violence, and crisis intervention strategies.

Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals who have experienced trauma, violence, or crisis.

Current knowledge of the local network of services preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Valid driver license and proof of auto liability insurance is required.

Salary

$20.67 per hour
