Jr. Buyer bilingual (English/Spanish)

Taxco is recruiting a Bilingual Jr. Buyer for our Dallas-based facility. This position is for self-starters who enjoy working independently and being part of a valuable team. the Jr. Buyer position reports out of the Dallas Texas office.

Jr. Buyer is responsible for the effective purchases of quality products, on time, with a competitive price, making the company grow and maintain sales and margins.

Key Responsibilities include:

.) Review in a timely manner inventory movement to determine purchase needs.

.) Create POs and getting price confirmations from Vendors.

.) Work with Vendor to handle all credits and returns promptly.

.) Work with Transportation Department to maximize profitability.

.) Coordinate with Sales Dept. to maximize the timely utilization of all inventories and reduce inventory shrinkage.

Essential Duties:

.) Considerable knowledge of principles practices of purchasing.

,) High level of discretion and independent judgment.

.) Highly motivated self-started handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced changing environment.

Qualifications (Education and experience required):

,) High School Diploma

.) Strong program administration background/computer proficiency required. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

.) Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication skills.

.) Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)

.) Attention to detail.

Desired:

.) Food distribution industry experience (1+ years)
