- Overall 5-6 years of experience with bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with Apache Kafka
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in design, development, and support of Apache Kafka data streaming services.
- Experience with Kafka custom connectors, creating publishers, consumers, and consumer groups.
- Experience with Kafka Connect and KStreams, with ability to know how to use effectively for different use cases, including how to scale and make fault tolerant.
- Ability to design event-driven systems and understand the design of pub-sub models.
- Experience of application design, develop and operationalize the applications.
- Very good understanding of SSL to Kafka Consumers
- Good understanding of different file storage formats for better performance based on use cases.
- Proficiency with Java/Scala, Spring Framework, Spring Boot/Akka http, akka streams, NoSQL, Kafka and Elastic search.
- Experience with API deployments with Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes
- Design and Build Micro services-based components and scale them based on load, failures.
- Document’s data flow diagrams, security access, data quality and data availability across all business systems.
- Experience with AWS Redshift, Relational and other No SQL databases.
- Exposure to high availability configurations, application performance tuning.
- Experience deploying applications in AWS is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with DevOps: Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and/or Ansible
- Experience with software development lifecycle/agile methodology and Jira/Confluence
