Description We are searching for a Kubernetes Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This individual will be instrumental in handling platform operations, particularly focusing on Kubernetes microservices and containerization. This role involves implementing infrastructure as code and ensuring the optimal performance of production environments on the cloud and in containers. This opportunity offers a short term contract employment.Responsibilities: Implementing and managing Kubernetes infrastructure. Overseeing the processing and efficiency of customer credit applications. Maintaining accurate customer records and addressing customer inquiries. Operating production environments at peak performance on the cloud and using containers. Utilizing infrastructure as code and configuration as code practices. Implementing DevOps best practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD. Utilizing Service Mesh technologies, such as Istio and Kuma. Operating Rancher as a control plane for Kubernetes. Applying Observability technologies and optimizing monitoring using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Mezmo. Maintaining a deep knowledge of Linux OS, network, and Azure PaaS solutions. Working with Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Ensuring the highest level of system performance through effective monitoring and optimization. Utilizing microservices and containerization technologies in the day-to-day operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering Proven experience in Kubernetes and Linux Technologies Proficiency in cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure Familiarity with DevOps and Continuous Integration (CI) practices Experience with configuration management and monitoring tools Knowledge of engineering and optimization methods Ability to work in a production environment and handle production-related tasks Familiarity with microservices and containers Proficiency in using GitHub for version control Knowledge of R code and MIS would be beneficial Experience in the construction industry scheme (CIS) would be advantageous Familiarity with Grafana and other monitoring tools Knowledge of laptop hardware could be useful Proven ability to follow best practices in all areas of work Experience in training others and developing specifications.
