Lead Data Analytics Architect - DATA ARCHITECT

This position can be 100% remote within the U.S.

Some of the things you will work on and be responsible for:
  • Lead ideation, planning, development, and delivery of data solutions
  • The design, build, optimization and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical database models.
  • Design, build data pipelines with Azure cloud stack.
  • Developing data delivery architectures and metadata suitable for enterprise products
  • Developing data management best practices, database standards, reusable data, and integration frameworks
  • Implement modern data architecture and solutions using data lakes, Spark, Python, and other Hadoop technologies
  • Developing Data DevOps (CI/CD), data test plan automation, integration frameworks, and Just in time (JIT) data architecture designs
  • Analyzing structural and data requirements for new software and applications
  • Migrating data from legacy data platforms to modern best-fit engineering data platforms
  • Initiating improvements to data operation performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements
  • Developing data security, data governance, database tuning, management strategies, and backup procedures
  • Coordinating with the other teams to identify future needs and requirements
The experience we look forward to you having:
  • Overall 10 years experience with minimum of 5 years experience as Data Architect, or similar role.
  • Minimum 7 years experience within Data/ Data pipelines /Big Data/Advanced Analytics
  • Expertise in design and implementation of enterprise data store, data warehouse, data governance, data quality management, and metadata management
  • Experience building data pipelines with Azure.
  • Hands on experience in migration on-prem (traditional data warehouse and bigdata) data solution to Azure cloud
  • Extensive experience with Azure Databricks, ADF, HDInsights, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Stream analytics
  • Experience with migrating SAP BO or IBM Cognos to Azure.
  • Be a subject matter expert on Azure Cloud
  • Ability to mentor team on the cloud technologies
  • Experience in big data distributed storage. processing and streaming architectures such as hive, data lake, Spark/Python, Azure Analytics, etc.
  • Expertise in Dimensional modeling and exposure to Vault data modeling techniques in an agile environment
  • Expertise in SQL Server database architecture, TSQL development, and tuning
  • Solid experience in Microsoft traditional data warehousing (SQL Server, SSIS, etc.)
  • Experience in industry Canonical modeling, Master data management, and metadata-driven solutions
  • Familiarity with predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using relevant tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, D3.js, R, etc.)
Bachelor-Degree in computer Science or a related field is always preferred however those with equivalent industry experience are just as important to us
