- Monitor and respond to systems to ensure integrity and continued operations triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of server systems including, software, OS issues pulling in other groups where needed Support all aspects of server environments (including physical and virtual, on-prem and cloud based).
- Support enterprise data solutions Provide high-level support and technical expertise regarding data center operations Detailed documentation of tickets including symptoms, causes, and provide root cause resolutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the data center infrastructure Gather requirements from business users and work with architects and team lead to develop business solutions System Administration at an enterprise level.
- The DC Engineer will work with Regional Data Center teams and asset management teams to ensure the DC tool(s) accurately reflects the installed data center equipment and will work with the site facilities teams to verify the accuracy of the underlying power/cooling infrastructure.
- Monitoring activities may include power, cooling and security functions based on available equipment and options. The DC Engineer will be responsive for administrative duties specific to the DC product/suite which may include license management, reporting tools, access management, supporting version upgrades which will require collaboration across internal application support teams and operations.
- Assists on projects involving the physical installation of cabinets, cages, cables, shelving, cable management, routers CSU/DSU's, servers, PDU's, modems, switches. Terminate and troubleshoot twisted pair, coax, RJ45, fiber, BNC connections.
- Work with various internal/external groups (such as telecommunication service providers, provisioning, IE's, NE's, equipment vendors, the NOC, and InterNAP internal departments) to install, troubleshoot, repair equipment, and facility equipment.
- Familiarity with SNMP, IPMI, Nmap, and SSH including PowerShell, database administration, Linux operating systems, Azure or other enterprise cloud environment
- Knowledge of IT security Policy and able to deploy backup solutions as per requirements.
- Managing internal projects including mentoring datacenter technicians, liaison between IT teams and operations team. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in automation scripting (Perl, shell, Python, PHP, etc.)

- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
