The Lead Data Analyst reviews and approves complex analytics and statistical modeling on large data sets that identify current market sector trends and customer patterns. This job directs the examination and identification of data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. The Lead Data Analyst oversees the collection of data sources, as well as the analysis and extraction of key data and information. This job also ensures that data quality meets the organization's information system needs and requirements.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Approves mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.

Analyzes and reviews trends found from modelling to inform other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.

Oversees data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential business decisions.

Develops and presents detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance, and investment management based on data summaries.

Partners with other areas of the business to model outcome of implementing potential business strategies.

Manages large, complex projects or processes with limited oversight while working with other team members to ensure accurate findings and results.

5 or more years of experience of Data Governance Practices – Business Glossary, Data catalogs, source to target mappings, Data Quality etc.

2 or more years of experience in DQ rules implementation.

5 or more years of experience in Advanced SQL.

Leads the implementation of Data Governance tools and processes to maintain data standards.

Strengthens data governance capabilities to ensure that high data quality exists throughout the complete lifecycle of the data and that data controls are implemented to support business objectives.

Ensures system support and data quality governance through data coordination and integration to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows.

Champion and drive improvement in data management and Governance practices.

Evaluates data management metrics and provides recommendations regarding opportunities for strengthening data integrity, quality and availability.

Reviews and contributes to reports for management to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues.

Meet with stakeholders for Business Glossary implementation.

Act as SME on Governance practices to help Data stewards' day to day activities.

Define Data Catalogs.

Collecting and interpreting data, understand the relationship between the data elements.

Filter and “clean” data by defining the data quality rules.

Perform Data Profiling tasks.

Preferred Skills:

5 or more years of experience on Oracle or Snowflake Databases.

An understanding of data architecture and modeling practices and concepts including entity-relationship diagrams, normalization, abstraction, denormalization, dimensional modeling, and meta data modeling practices.

Exposure to Governance tools.

Prior data analysis experience.

Will be a subject matter expert in Collibra and help teams to adopt Collibra for Governance activities.

Expertise in Collibra DG and DQ toolset is a plus

Finance and Asset Management domain (Insurance, ledgers, cost allocations, fund administration) knowledge is a plus
