Description We are providing an opportunity for a Lead Developer in the Energy/Natural Resources industry based in Houston, Texas. The role involves backend development, programming and database management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Lead backend development activities to ensure seamless function and performance of systems. Utilize skills in database management, specifically with DB2 Databases, to maintain and improve database systems. Program and analyze software systems in line with the project requirements. Implement EO/IR systems and ensure their smooth operation and integration. Utilize Hibernate ORM for mapping an object-oriented domain model to a relational database. Conduct AB Testing to compare two versions of a webpage or other user experience to determine which one performs better. Work within Agile Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. Utilize ASP.NET for server-side web application framework to produce dynamic web pages. Apply CSS skills for the design and presentation of web pages including colors, layout, and fonts. Implement .NET framework for building and running the next gen of applications and XML Web services. Utilize Angular to build mobile and desktop web applications. Handle Microsoft SQL Server for managing relational databases. Use Microsoft SQL for querying and managing data held in a relational database management system. Apply Azure DevOps for version control, reporting, requirements management, project management, automated builds, lab management, testing and release management capabilities. Requirements Candidate must possess strong skills in Backend Development Proficiency in Database and DB2 Database is required Experience with EO/IR systems is a must Knowledge of Hibernate ORM is essential Familiarity with AB Testing and Agile Scrum methodologies Proficient in ASP.NET, CSS, and Design controls Must have experience with .NET and Angular Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Experience with Azure DevOps is required The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Energy/Natural Resources industry Must have proven experience as a Lead Developer or similar role Excellent leadership and team management skills are required Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
