Wells Fargo is back in the office three days a week, collaborating together for fabulous outcomes!This role has no Visa sponsorship or transfers.The req is seated in the location posted on the req.Wells Fargo is seeking an Infrastructure engineer to help lead the capacity planning team from a compute (Server) perspective.We need a been there done that person that understands capacity planning for large infrastructure and servers.In this key position, you will take the responsibility for all compute platforms to ensure that we manage and report properly the utilization, use and performance of all systems and work with leadership to identify process improvements to the capacity planning space.We would value your skill set to identify ways to improve utilization and be proactive in performance monitoring to ensure problems are avoid when possible.Technically, you'll have expertise in understanding the infrastructure components and its capabilities from the OEM manufactures like Dell, HPE, Cisco, Arista, Intel, AMD, and IBMEach day you will evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals.You'll review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future and continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure.Ultimately, we need someone who can make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements.In this role, you will:Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applicationsParticipate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructureDesign, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third-party vendorsDesign, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practicesDirect the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure successRecommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve resultsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsInteract with customer and vendorReview and manage the performance metrics of the physical and virtualization platforms to run and support the workloadsAbility to provide detailed system reporting to Leadership and to the technical group to showcase availability of the capacity against agreed targetsExpertise in understanding the infrastructure components and its capabilities from the OEM manufactures like Dell, HPE, Cisco, Arista, Intel, AMD, and IBMAbility to work with Engineering teams in evaluating new products and technologies and provide support and inputs related to capacity management.Evaluate capacity utilization and use tools to help right size environments to improve utilization. Look for performance concerns and proactively recommend solutions to avoid outages or performance challenges.Required Qualifications:5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Experience in managing the compute infrastructure environment for a large technology organizationExperience with converged infrastructure solutions that involve Servers, Storage and NetworkExperience with tools like VM Ware tools like VROPS, VRA or other infrastructure reporting tools.

Review and manage the performance metrics of the physical and virtualization platforms to run and support the workloads.

Ability to provide detailed system reporting to Leadership and to the technical group to showcase availability of the capacity against agreed targets.
