- The Network Lead is responsible for the overall management and support of the Company's Networking Infrastructure Operations to support end-point device management and desktop strategies, local and wide area network, operating systems, system administration, and data center infrastructure and services.
- Performs in a management and operational (50/50) role working with enterprise architect for all matters relating to IT infrastructure. Supports day to day operations of the networking infrastructure. Deploys, acquire, maintains and ensures the security of information technology assets.
- Plans and tests processes to ensure compliance with system requirements, business objectives, security standards, and other technical requirements.
- Manages staff and is responsible for the strategic guidance, development and evaluation of employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with client policies and applicable laws.
- 5+ years’ experience in building and managing Networking Technology Infrastructure and Operational environments.
- 10+ years of hands-on networking support with Cisco routing and switching technologies
- Experience leading a team of offshore and nearshore Network Engineers to provide 24x7 network support.
- 10+ year’s working on networking, and networking security technologies such as; IPS, IDS, VPN’s, NAC, Wireless standards and protocols, network routing and switching technologies in a global infrastructure
- Cisco Wireless/Switches/Routers/Firewalls
- Experience with F5 load balancers
- Experience with functions of devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VOIP phones and servers
- Experience with layer 2 switching concepts/technologies: MAC addresses, VLANs, Trunks, STP
- Experience with IP addressing, subnetting and ARP
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
- Knowledge of remote-access protocols: SSH, Telnet
- Knowledge of AAA protocols: TACACS+ and RADIUS
- Knowledge of network discovery protocols: SNMP, Netflow, CDP and LLDP
- Knowledge of Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Experience with common network troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup
- Experience with of Quality-of-Service (QoS)
- Knowledge of VPNs: Remote-Access and Site-to-Site
- Troubleshooting tools for packet capture: Wireshark/Netflow/etc.
- Knowledge of copper and fiber transport medias and their associated standards
- Scripting experience with focus on automation (PowerShell (and/or other MS scripting languages)
- Experience leveraging PowerShell to automate tasks
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
