What you will do in this role:
-
Responsible for direct patient care given to his/her assigned patients including care of patients on telemetry monitors.

Responsible for informing the RN of any pertinent changes in the patient’s condition.
-
Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.

Participates in activities to plan, measure, asses and improve the quality of patient care.

Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process.
-
Responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.

Participates in weekly patient care conferences, as needed.
- Scans supplies from P.O.U. area
- Responsible for maintaining a customer friendly atmosphere.
Qualifications
What qualification you will need:
-
Completion of a vocational nursing program
-
Current Texas licensure with State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners.

Current BCLS certification required.
-
Six months or more experience required in nursing required.

Educational requirements appropriate for meeting population-specific needs of patients assigned to the Rehab Unit.

I.V. Certification course completed within six months of hire.
