Full Job Description

Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing A/V and security infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite as well as provide excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions

Installs A/V and security equipment per the plans provided for the specific application.

Maintain professional attitude with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Hang, mount, rack, install, and rig equipment per plans and specifications.

Read and Interpret manuals, construction drawings, wiring diagrams, floorplans, and specifications .

Properly sets up a variety of testers (fiber and copper).

Performs system testing and troubleshooting as required.

Terminates, labels, tests, and troubleshoots optical fiber and copper installations.

Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly.

Builds closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).

Responsible for meeting deadlines and managing materials and tools.

Responsible for completing daily timesheets and job documentation.

Other duties assigned by management

Required Job Skills

Able to lift heavy objects, work on construction sites

Able to use hand tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight and gloves

Punctual and Dependable

Effective Communications

Able to distinguish color codes

1+ years construction, cabling,A/V, or physical security experience preferred

Exhibit a positive attitude

Solid team player

High attention to detail

Able to meet deadlines

Able to work on construction sites as well as in office settings

Education, Certification, License

High School Diploma/ GED equivalency

(Reliable transportation to and from jobsite is necessary, a Truck/ van is not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday
