These needs place a premium on access to agile systems, integrated workflows, and solutions that simplify the tax and accounting compliance ecosystem.As the Manager, Operations – Trust Tax, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team of fiduciary tax professionals to provide timely, efficient, and accurate production of high volumes of tax information statements and tax returns. This position manages the overall Trust Tax Outsourcing operation which is the tax preparation service provided to bank/wealth management firms. This includes:

Production and filing of all related tax returns

Conversions of clients from other platforms and onboarding process

Managing customer experiences and all communications

Be a trusted advisor and role model for our people across multiple teams.

You will be expected to anticipate and surface issues, recommend solutions, research and solve problems, and exercise good business judgment while performing these functions. The candidate must be an initiative-taker, capable of working with limited direction while taking full ownership of their areas of responsibility and have strong communication skills to facilitate information flow between various functional teams, including Development, Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Finance.Essential duties and responsibilities:

Manages the day-to-day operations of Trust Tax Outsourcing team including the generation and filing of returns during tax season, and review of transactional data during off season.

Oversees the onboarding of new clients, client introductions and communication, development of a tax services operating plan, CCH Trust US Tax set-up, coordinating timing of bridged data, assessment of the client’s trust accounting system for accuracy of bridged data, and analysis of prior tax data for incorporation into current year tax information for successful production of tax deliverables.

Leads outsourcing team members and directs workflow to comply with clients’ needs and expectations.

Manages people and resources to support efficiency and drive profitable growth.

Strong process improvement, critical thinking, and problem-solving background including use of data analysis and thinking outside of the box.

Proven ability to think strategically while also engaging in day-to-day tactical details.

Monitors quality control of tax preparation process including setting review standards.

Answers client tax related questions pertaining to the tax information prepared by this team.

Communicates with clients during year on deadlines and deliverables.

Meets all compliance deadlines with IRS and State agencies.

Sets training plan for new and existing employees on tax law changes, new system enhancements.

Provides direction and coaching for team members for goals and planning.

Collaborates with various internal departments such as Product Management, Support Customer Service, Development, Marketing, and Sales

Follows through with leads Provided from Vendors

Presents Outsourcing services to prospective clients.

Works with legal department to prepare and deliver contracts for new clients.

Member on the Trust Operations management team

Job Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field CPA or EA certification a plusMinimum Qualifications:

Experience running a tax office or similar high-value Tax outsourcing services operation.

Experience: Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

3+ Years' experience managing a tax department in an accounting practice, wealth mgt. or financial institution.

Minimum 3+ years managing a team of at least 5 or more.

Usage of fiduciary software to generate returns in a high production environment.

Ability to interact with internal & external clients, assess business challenges and collaboratively define solutions to address key issues.

Self-motivated individual who can work with limited direction, while keeping key stakeholders apprised of project status.

Strong attention to detail and ability to look at results from a variety of dimensions.

Strong PC and business software application skills, including Microsoft office suite – e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Ability to lead and direct the work of others.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid environment handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Implementing best practices and focusing on attention to detail.
