The Tech Infrastructure Leader manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by Managers and/or Team Leaders responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT systems software and hardware for multi-user server computers. This job defines the roadmap used to meet end user needs by managing the strategy for uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of computers within established operational guidelines.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Leads professionals responsible for designing, deploying and providing support for the domain of key business requirements.

Defines and approves the engineering strategy and operational roadmaps for domain services.

Establishes the strategy for the identification, implementation and monitoring of best practices for technology architecture, while providing expert advice on core infrastructure initiatives.

Liaises with senior leadership on project, operational, and strategy risks and opportunities along with corrective action plans when required.

Champions solutions, improvements and best practices to increase operational efficiency and lower operating cost.

Directs department regarding capacity workload modeling and availability analysis for a variety of platforms and environments.

Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

Develops team members through reasonable, effective performance development plans, technical training opportunities and stretch work assignments.

This role is part of the Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) organization and will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Head of Global Infrastructure Services.Engagement & Delivery Services (EDS) represents Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) across the TIAA Technology organization. They are a primary engagement point for bi-directional interactions with CIO, Cyber, Data and Corporate staff functions. This team provides a wide range of services that include, but not limited to infrastructure solution architecture, infrastructure service consultation, integrated planning and collaboration, service delivery management, demand planning and they act as an escalation point for GIS.EDS is a key enabler that engages across all levels of the organization from a development team to all levels of the management structure. This includes having direct interface with Executive Leadership as they represent the broader collaborations, relationships and business consideration between organizations. This directly contributes to shaping and influencing strategic planning, transformation program delivery and critical initiatives for TIAA.Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership for the development of integrated strategies, roadmaps and enabling solution architectures with our internal partners, stakeholders and product managers to meet growing and evolving business needs.

Translate partner needs into demand for GIS products and services and help to determine objectives & long-range goals of the GIS organization.

Apply expertise of infrastructure technology, architecture and engineering patterns and industry direction to advance our strategies and transform technology on a wide variety of technology and business topics.

Develop solution architectures that leverage modern architectural patterns and align with Enterprise Architecture standards.

Improve GIS service delivery, demand management and ease of doing business with GIS by implementing a culture of continuous improvement.

Provide and facilitate on-going technical consultation functions for our partners and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Conduct regular technology, roadmap and business performance reviews with our partners and executives to elevate collaboration, awareness and transparency.

Deliver financial transparency to our partners relative to consumption of existing and future infrastructure services utilized across their entire portfolio.

Contribute to the management and reduction of risks across operational, cyber and financial dimensions through awareness, sponsorship and advocacy with our partners

Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation and development of team.
