Other locations within Entergy’s service territory may be consideredThis position may be filled as a Financial Analyst Sr Lead, Lead, or I/II/III depending on the candidate's qualifications and experienceJob SummaryEnergy Market and Fundamentals Analyst position is responsible for research, analysis and modeling of energy markets, regional industries, and business environment. This role supports projects and initiatives by analyzing trends in power markets, evolution of technology, changes in business environment and implications of various rules, regulations and state and federal policies. The work scope also includes research and analysis to develop commercial and business assumptions for various growth initiatives and innovation efforts.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesResearch and analysis topics may include:

Research and analysis in electricity, natural gas and other commodity markets, electric load, new generation investments, emission markets, transmission investments, fuel markets, regulatory policies, renewable markets, and new energy technologies such as Electric Vehicle, Battery Storage and Hydrogen, etc.

Work with teams across the company to support data and trend analyses, proposals, presentations, financial models, asset valuations, strategic initiatives, and potential transactions

General trends, macroeconomic effects on utility markets, industries, supply chains, and customers

Commercial and business assumptions relevant to Entergy’s and customer’s businesses

Research key trends in commercial and business environment in our region and develop understanding of key assumptions that may drive innovative products and services for Entergy’s utility customers

Support power market modeling efforts with production cost models such as AURORA/PLEXOS/PAROMOD

Communicate work products, results to project team, stakeholders, and/or senior management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum Education and Experience required

Financial Analyst I & II : Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Sciences, Engineering or other analytical fields and 0-2+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required or in lieu of a degree 4-6+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required.

Financial Analyst III : Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Sciences, Engineering or other analytical fields and 4+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required or in lieu of a degree 8+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required.

Financial Analyst Lead : Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Sciences, Engineering or other analytical fields and 5+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required or in lieu of a degree 9+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required.

Financial Analyst Sr Lead : Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Sciences, Engineering or other analytical fields and 6+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required or in lieu of a degree 10+ years of experience in consulting, finance, energy, or a related field is required.

Knowledge in or understanding of energy, power, electric utility, commodities, energy finance, and prior experience with production cost simulation models such as PROMOD/AURORA/PLEXOS is preferred.MBA, MS Economics, MS Finance, or masters in analytics related areas is a plusExperience in data analytics & visualizations, programming, or forecasting using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, MATLAB etc. is a plus.Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong reporting skills using PowerPoint & PowerBI
