Role summary
Deliver hands-on therapeutic massage and chiropractor-prescribed rehab/exercise to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support recovery in a busy musculoskeletal clinic.
Key responsibilities
Massage & Manual Therapy
Provide Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, sports, myofascial (and prenatal/other techniques as certified).
Complete intake, assess contraindications, gain informed consent, and document SOAP notes same day.
Educate on self-care: stretching, hydration, ergonomics.
Chiropractic Rehab & Modalities
Coach patient through prescribed corrective exercise, mobility/stability, posture and ergonomic training.
Set up/administer approved modalities (e-stim, ultrasound, heat/cold) per protocols/scope.
Track outcomes (ROM, pain scales, functional tests) in the EMR.
Clinic Operations (Shared)
Keep rooms/equipment clean and stocked; follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA.
Coordinate patient flow and on-time starts; assist with scheduling/rebooking and product recommendations when clinically appropriate.
Collaborate closely with chiropractors and the care team on treatment plans.
Qualifications
Active state Massage Therapist license (LMT/MT) and/or Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant (where required) or relevant degree (kinesiology/exercise science).
CPR/BLS (or within 60 days).
1+ year clinic/rehab; EMR proficiency.
Professional boundaries, strong communication, and time management.
Core skills
Solid anatomy/biomechanics; excellent palpation and coaching/teaching ability.
Patient-first, team-oriented, detail-driven; adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
Physical requirements
Stand/walk for extended periods; frequent bending/reaching.
Safely assist patients; lift/push up to 25–30 lbs.
Schedule & compensation
Full-time preferred; some evenings/weekends.
Compensation: base + per-service/commission or hourly with incentives (dependent on clinic model); benefits if full-time.
