Duties include:

Assisting and supporting the implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk including but not limited to the areas of OSHA, ergonomics, injury/illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, and general employee safety

Supporting LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators, and Global Program Elements

Ensuring a clean and safe work environment

Adhering to Plant policies and guidelines

Working safely and looking out for the safety of those around them

Following Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards

Attending and participating in Plant safety meetings.

Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool, and consumable usage

Reporting any safety or maintenance concerns

Key responsibilities:

Completing daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)

Assisting with sorting, unboxing, and moving pallets/materials on the plant floor

Loading and unloading trailers

Completing load sheet to accurately record bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments

Completing and submit load sheet at completion of shipment

Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure

Understand and follow load pattern according to the trailer, railcar, bale size, and weight variables

Assisting with removing finished bales and storing them in the proper location

Completing daily weekly monthly PMs for all certified mobile equipment

Shift start: 5:30AM Shift length: 8.5 hours Monday - Friday, some weekends required
