Position Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for assisting the company in engineering, design, development, acceptance testing, and other tasks relating to the products and services of the company. This is a full-time position requiring daily attendance at the company s Plano, Texas headquarters and reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

What you will be doing:
  • Performing primary design, engineering and project management work relating to the company s products and services
  • Assisting with the development, documentation, and implementation of the company s policies and procedures relating to engineering, design, vendor and document management, and related matters.
  • Working with appropriate company managers and other stakeholders, including third-party vendors, to define the requirements, enhancements, testing procedures and related matters relating to the company s products and services
  • Locating, engaging with and managing the relationship between the company and third-party vendors, including equipment, material, and contractor service providers.
  • Maintaining engineering logs and records as necessary to ensure the proper documentation of the company s intellectual property, discoveries and inventions
  • Maintain knowledge of proper engineering techniques as they relate to the company s products and services.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage regular product design reviews and requirement update sessions.
  • Ensuring that managers and other key stakeholders are promptly notified of any matters that impact the completion or scope of projects.
  • Performing other tasks and undertaking additional roles and responsibilities as directed and required by company management.

What you will need:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a minimum of 8 years of progressive mechanical engineering experience.
  • The ability to apply critical thinking and deductive reasoning to engineering challenges
  • The ability to prioritize business objectives with respect to project deliverables
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and manage workload and tasks with respect to project goals and timelines
  • Strong project management and documentation skills, and the ability to ensure that all project work, inventions and discoveries are properly documented
  • Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute
  • The ability to maintain and observe strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy in all company information and third party information
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history screening, financial history screening, drug screening, pre-employment testing and evaluation, employment history screening, and educational references screening
